I'm not using it like that myself for the moment, but it could be nice to know :-)

1. If you have an iPhone, check out this:

(There were a plugin that worked for other phones before, I'm not so sure any more since it's not updated, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wphone/)

2. There are some instructions how to post by email otherwise, but it's some work to get it to function:

(To send emails by Gmail in your phone, check out http://www.google.com/mobile/)

3. You also can send photos to your blog via Flickr from your mobile:
http://www.flickr.com/help/blogging/#71

Since it already exist a solution for the wordpress.com-bloggers (https://m.wordpress.com), I hope that it might come in future releases even for us with the selfhosted wordpress blogs.

Hopefully some one else will have better answers for us that don't have iPhones :-)

Thank you so much for these links. It's so annoying that you can't just load an image from your phone straight to your blog!

Hi Tamara,


Just a note. OnTheRoad.to, which is a new online travel diary, would allow you post your notes and pictures directly through your mobile phone. (And you can get a real-time "trip widget" of this diary, that would fit to your wordpress blog.)

OnTheRoad.to has an iPhone app, Android app, or you can send out your posts via email or SMS/MMS. It comes quite handy while traveling. (And with the phone apps, you can forget about the data roaming when going abroad, they both have an offline mode.)
