I know that I have never personally had a travel blog but I did have quite a few journals back in the day. I think the thing that would inspire me to start a travel blog would be the ability to share unique finds with others. What made you start yours?
I really admire those who can start a travel blog and make it work. I am a contributor at some of my favorites and write about my many trips on my personal blog as well. This week: I'm off to Keystone. Two weeks after that? Park City!
Started blogging only at the end of Dec. 08. Think I need to shorten each entry to save some time. Finding that each day somehow seems to be growing shorter as this new year progresses...Hoping to gain a following, share helpful travel and airline info, and help us have a small yet positive presence on the web, esp. since our main travel agency website is down.
Let me know what you did to attract women from blogging. I put my picture up once, and RSS feed readers went down 65% so I created this animated guy and things have never been better. :)
When I started my blog in 2005 I was not really in any niche, just a personal blog, writing whatever I felt for, which was much humor in the beginning. I've always loved to write stuff.
You tend to talk (and write) about what's in your heart, what you really burn a passion for and that turned out to be travel and photography after a while and it just transformed to a travel blog :-)
Travel blogging is also an excellent way to remember your trips afterward, to not forget the details. Both with the words and photos.
It takes a while to find your own travel blogger style :-)
I started my blog because I felt there was a need in the voluntourism industry for all companies to share thoughts, best practices, lessons learned, etc in an uncensored way. It's been great to see people post problems they are having with their business or lessons they have learned throughout the years.
I'm a newbie blogger though so constantly learning how to do it! =)
For those who are in the Networked Blogs group, we can exchange blogs or follow each others blogs to build out network. This site is linked to Facebook so you need to link it with FB.
It's on location for our popular sequel to last week's Tequila Party video on this week's Cocktail Hour at The World on Wheels. From Yuma, Arizona, we enlist two of our Mexican uncles...true, expert aficionados of their national drink…
