Hi all - Photography to us is a form of art. Also, capturing the intricate details of carvings and engravings at structures that we visit on our travels is also one of our favorite things to do. Here, we share our recent discovery of the intricate details on the walls of La Alhambra - Granada's Top Tourist Attraction. Enjoy!

Hi. my blog is Senior Vagabond, an Old(er) man, a backpack, the world. Presenting an alternative to traditional retirement is the goal of writing about my travels but that includes appreciating the arts. I am new in the blogging world so all visitors are welcome.

I have upped the ante with artist-at-large.com and am creating a community for artists, writers, photographers and cultural travelers - and those who just want to travel. It's a paid member community, with discussion boards, activity streams, member blogs, and other goodies down the road .... It wasn't created with travel writers or travel bloggers per se in mind because the member blogs are ad free, but if you'd like to check it out, or give it a mention in a write up or side bar list,  let me know and I'll give you a 14-day free trial of the community bit just to have a look around and I'm available for questions! I've still got quite a few kinks to work out, but the community aspect is usable.

Hey all!  I wanted to share the new(ish) Art and Travel Bloggers facebook page, as I thought it would be of interest to all of you :-)  It's administered by myself, Jenna from ThisIsMyHappiness.com, Jeff of EuroTravelogue.com, Kelly of Travellious.com and Erin or A-Sense-Of-Place.com.  We share art-related news, along with art-based travel blog posts.  Thanks!

Hey everyone!

Hasn't been much action on here lately but if anyone finds themselves in the San Francisco area this month, here's my monthly listing of the local art exhibitions.

Hope everyone is well!

Great idea for a group, Thomas. The focus of my blog is not necessarily about art but having run a couple art galleries and represented artists, art is an important part of my life and travels. Looking forward to reading and participating in this group. Thanks!

Hi art and travel folks!
I was recently interviewed for an art history blog written by an Austranlian amateur lover of art history. He asked me some good questions about why I write in the style I've chosen, and about the nexus between art and travel. Thought you might find it interesting: http://threepipeproblem.blogspot.com/2010/10/featured-blogger-alexa...
ciao from Florence!

It's never too soon to start networking and building your relationships with other travel bloggers, editors, etc., Shanna. Attending conferences is one way to do that. That said, some conferences are better than others. I'll have to let…
