Guest Posts and Other Minutiae
Guest Posts:
One way, besides commenting on posts, to get attention for your blog is to guest post on other blogs. I usually do this for myself by being interviewed, so far anyway. Because when I think of guest posting on someone else's blog I draw a blank as far as subjects to write about.
Anyway, I do accept guest posts on artist-at-large.com. I give a paragraph byline at the end of the post, with links back to the guest poster's projects. Guest posts can be interviews with you or by you with artists, writer, musicians you've met while visiting one of the regions I cover, original stories, or posts from your blog that are slightly rewritten (for google's sake). Or they can be Photos of the Day, or Postcards from the Road, or personal travel memory stories ...

I have also been doing this, and it really does help. I get other people to do guest reviews of Impressionist exhibitions in their town or city, as in Ashley's (No Onions Extra Pickles blog, and a member of this group) guest post of the exhibition currently on at De Young:

That's something to think about! Looks like Ashley has the hold on the only Impressionist exhibition in town at the moment. Maybe in a few months when the second version opens, or if you have another subject in mind - maybe I could look around SF to find fromage Normandaise? (kidding, maybe)

I don't do tit-for-tat stumbles. But I will stumble something when I run across something that I like - so I'm not looking for people to beg for stumbles in this discussion thread.
