Hi everyone, as you may remember one of my essays was included in the book "65 Things to Do When You Retire". The publisher invited me to submit an essay in the new book by the same title but with a focus on Travel.
He also asked me to submit to him the names and websites of other boomer travel writers I thought might be included. I've already submitted some names and he may contact you (see names below). If anyone else would like to be included, please e-mail me at doris@dorisgallan.com with your website address and I'll submit your names as well.
Writers are unpaid and all proceeds go for cancer research. It's good for exposure and the books look great. Other writers in the first book I was included in are: President Jimmy Carter, Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem. So you could be in good company in the second book.
Doris, The Boomer Traveler
Names submitted so far: Donna Hull, Wayne Dunlap, Akaisha Kaderli, Barbara Weibel, David & Veronica (aka The Gypsy Nesters), and Boyd Lemon.

Hi Tony, I haven't visited the Finger Lakes region but will reference your site when I do. Lots of excellent info there.
Good for you, Tony. The Finger Lakes region is indeed one of the most beautiful in the country. I recall my visit there in 1998 with great pleasure and wonderful memories. Memories are a huge part of life, and what better memories are there than those we have of our travels to such beautiful places?
Boyd Lemon-Author of “Eat, Walk, Write: An American Senior’s Year of Adventure in Paris and Tuscany,” "Digging Deep: A Writer Uncovers His Marriages," the author’s journey to understand his role in the destruction of his three marriages and “Unexpected Love and Other Stories. Comment by Tony Ingraham on March 23, 2012 at 6:46am Help cancer research & give a great retirement gift! "65 Things To do When You Retire" includes essays by former US President Jimmy Carter, Gloria Steinem, Jane Fonda, John E. Nelson (What Color is Your Parachute?), and many others including myself on traveling the world when you retire.
All proceeds go to cancer research and all authors provided their essays without payment.
If you're interested, you can purchase the book here: the publisher's website, http://www.myretirementblog.com/65-things-to-do-when-you-retire or

Thanks in advance. Doris
