Hi. I'm so confused and frustrated I don't even know if I can word this question correctly.

OK. You know Notes on the iPod Touch? I like it. It's EASY, which is most important to me. But I can't get to it on my laptop. I love the Stickies app on my laptop, but I can't get it onto my iPod.

What I need is a Notes-or-Stickies-style app that sits on my laptop, and syncs with my iPod Touch (and vice-versa).

I tried Evernote, which is a good app. But if I try to access it on my iPod while not connected to the Internet - which is often - I can't get to any of my notes!

And everything I'm researching is confusing the hell out of me. I've even downloaded several apps, but not one of them is doing what I need.

I find it hard to believe I'm the only person on the planet who needs an app like this.

I don't want or need a lot of bells and whistles (or I need bells and whistles that I can easily ignore).

Does anyone know of an app that does what I need it to do?

HELP!

Hey Christine - Evernote will do what you´re looking for. I use it that way all the time. You just have to sync it while you DO have a wireless connection.

If you´re having trouble with it retaining notes after you´re out of the network range, then you can tag all the relevant notes as ¨Favorites¨ and it´ll hang onto them in your iPod Touch memory.

Hope this helps!
See, that's the thing - I do sync it when I have a connection, but then I'm out and about and I go into the app and it's blank. So, the key is FAVORITES! I get it. I'mma tag 'em all! Thanks so much Joel!!!
Hi C,
I use Evernote on 4 different platforms. But with my Andriod phone I need to be online to access my notes. It is a feature that I believe they are working on. But your notes database can be massive and overwhelm the storage on your portable device.
I don't have an iPad but have you tried Google Docs? On desktop machines they have an offline usage feature. Good Luck. Let us know what you find.
Hi C,
Ran into something today as I prepare for my www.30DaysInParis.com social media project. You may want to check into www.Snaptic.com . It is a note taking app for the iPhone, iPad, Android, also with a web interface for accessing your notes while at your desktop. It allows me to work offline on my Android phone. Not sure, but I supsect the iPad app has the same features. Hope it works for you.
