I am trying to set up my own website, but can't find a way to add a feature which enables visitors to leave comments on posts. I am sure many of you have done this before. Any ideas?
Are you using wordpress? If so, under Settings/Discussions, you can set the parameters for comments. In other words, the comments are built into the platform, you only need to tweak it. However, I like using the Disqus Comment System: http://disqus.com/ which I added as an additional plugin to my site. It helps me to keep spam down to a minimum. Good luck!
I am designing my website using Yola. I am trying disgus too but does that post comments onto my website or onto a seperate page within disgus.com? I found it a little bit confusing. Excuse my ignorance but I am allergic to computer stuff in general
Hi Denise,
I don't know if you resolved your problem, but if not, do the following:
Go to http:/www.widgetbox.com and type easy comments on the blank search area.
Select the "Realtime Comments" widget and then click "Get Widget"
A new window will show up. Click Copy and paste the html on your website or blog.
It is easy, free and looks nice.
Hope this help.
