Re: Johns comment below (not the trashy link request..)

One of my first flashpacking essentials thrown into my suitcase is earplugs...followed by spare batteries for my camera & phone.  Thirdly it would be my multi-country adaptor..

hope that helps with the packing...

Hi, A question to all flashpackers: What do you pack for travels that you feel is essential? Thanks!  John

We're exchanging our suburban life to travel the world by road as digital nomads in a 4WD camper.  Currently we're outfitting our truck with world plugs and battery converters and all kinds of devices to keep us plugged in no matter where we are so we can continue our technology work wherever we go.   Our website is here: http://globalroadtrekker.com

I guess we fit into this category? We stay in all kinds of accommodation from hostels to sometimes treating ourselves to an upscale hotel.

All our traveling has bee done as a married couple. We have stayed in hostels many times, but always in a private room. We definitely enjoy the hostel atmosphere, rarely do we get to hang out and chat with other travelers while staying in a hotel.

Our blog of our world travels and photography can be found at http://travelfootprints.ca

Hey everyone, I've started a new TBEX group so that we can all help each other increase our FriendFeed subscriptions, which will in turn increase our feedburner counts. If you are interested in checking it out visit http://www.travelblogexchange.com/group/friendfeed

Hi guys. I´m working on a new blog series to help people plan their RTW and career break trips. I want to showcase blogs, articles, tools, products and services that can help someone. I have written an open letter to the travel community on my website. Here is the link. http://su.pr/1s2bL9 I would appreciate any input. All the best. Jeff

Help me stop being a power strip carrier! Anyone know of new toys to help condense the many into one? Am moving to Korea soon & its ridiculously shameful how much toys i'm taking with me.

I have a 2 month old travel blog that I have been working very hard to establish.  What I am trying to figure out is how soon is too soon to start attending travel events and conferences? Will it be a boost to my blog at this point, or will it be a relative waste of time?  Is it too soon to start networking and making contacts?  What do you think?Have any of you attended any conferences or events, and what was your experience? Thanks so much for your input,Shanna…See More
