Comment by Darryl Musick on February 11, 2013 at 9:31am What to do after dark in Baja besides get drunk? Prowl the local neighborhoods looking for street food. That's just what we do today at The World on Wheels, it's our new video, "Ensenada After Dark": http://tinyurl.com/c6pyc9q

Comment by Karen van der Zee on February 11, 2013 at 9:16am Ruby, just read your post. Loads of fun, I can tell! It is carnival in my native Holland as well, but it is mostly celebrated in the Catholic south of the country. Sadly, I grew up in the sober Calvinist part and used to feel deprived not being part of that celebration. Can’t even go there now because I’ve been an expat for years and am an ocean away.
Comment by Ruby Benz on February 11, 2013 at 8:49am have you been to any Fasching or carnival in Europe? here is one that I went to. thanks for browsing. http://www.europetravelpad.com/2013/02/fasching-season-in-germany/
Comment by Leyla Giray on February 11, 2013 at 6:33am I'm just back from the Festival de l'Alicoque in Nyons, in the Drome in SE France. It's a bit like the Beaujolais Nouveau, but for olive oil. I spent quite some timetasting the olive oils, but also sampling entire menus made of or linked to olives. Olive ice cream, anyone??
Comment by Darryl Musick on February 8, 2013 at 10:13am Today at The World on Wheels, we scour the countryside, looking for that last authentic stand serving that most classic of Ensenada foods, the fish taco, and then continue on to the world-class fish market to try some of the freshest seafood on earth. We're in search of the original fish taco in Ensenada, Mexico: http://tinyurl.com/bas7ya8

Comment by Leyla Giray on January 29, 2013 at 2:18pm I think I'll just have to admit it once and for all... I might just be a cheese addict. Especially alpine cheeses... I was in Megeve recently and took advantage of my stay to eat, scrape, dip and scoop.
Comment by Juliet on January 25, 2013 at 9:04am You don't need to travel to find world cuisine in Santa Fe -- just grab a plate

Comment by Darryl Musick on January 23, 2013 at 9:26am Where else are you going to find the name "Magnolia Thunderpussy" in an otherwise G-rated post today? At The World on Wheels today, we show you some of the ways we find the great restaurants we do while on the road and introduce you to Magnolia along the way: http://tinyurl.com/2uz8cer
