From Manhattan's Le Parker Meridien to the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., some upscale hotels have started to offer alternatives to the overnight stay. For example, the Marcel in Manhattan, which charges overnight rates of as much as $400, offers guests the option of spending a few hours in the hotel for $150.
