I am sad to say that my college doesn't have any sister or brother schools in any other countries. I attended Loyola University during my first year of college, and I had intended to go their Rome campus. However, I ended up transferring to a smaller school in Chicago after my freshman year.

Anyway! I ended up settling on a program called Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA). I recommend it to anyone!! Through this program, I went to Goldsmiths College (University of London) in England.

It... was... amazing!

Our college has one called Brethren Colleges Abroad (BCA) though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; it was helpful in that I discovered a wonderful city in China to live in, with a brilliant director, but otherwise I didn't find them very useful.

I think people are better off choosing a college, taking a semester off, and then paying whatever credit transfer fees are involved (at my college it's only $200). It's a lot easier than people think it is, and the experience is totally worth it.
It isn't much of a study abroad program like these mentioned, but I live in Japan with a full scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education (MEXT - Monbukagakusho). Tuition fees are fully covered, plus we are given a monthly stipend that covers our basic needs. Finding a part-time job is possible for whoever wants to make extra money and backpack throughout Southeast Asia.

If people are interested, I can give some more details about my experience.

Best,
Diogo
