Travel Blog Exchange

Hi there,

I am new to all this blogging and have discovered more social networks than I knew existed over the course of the last month since moving from Sales to Marketing!! I'm still not used to posting blogs or feeling very comfortable finding my way around these. At the moment our company is trying to figure out the pros and cons of setting a blog up on our site. Everyone here seems to be well versed in how they work so what do you think? All the travel experience I have had and it wouldn't have crossed my mind to set this up on my own even just to share my own experiences. So many places left to go... I always think I've been all over until I read some of the posts in this and realise I am a baby traveller in comparison!!

Blogs are a powerful tool, as long as you have something to say (and if you're into travel, you always have something to say, even if you don't think so). If you're doing it for a company, make it a way to personalize it more than the website does; coupled with Facebook and Twitter, it can go a long way towards making the company a collection of people rather than a faceless enterprise.

There's tons of info to help you out here in the TBEX and online, so look around. And ask specific questions. It's a good time to be a travel blogger, so jump in with both feet!
Thanks for that response Daniel.
