Last night we had a problem...the flies loved our sweet Cab Sauv too much and kept killing themselves in it. Happily, I guess.

Which brings me to ask...what's the best wine for an outdoor cinema on a warm evening? I'm leaning towards Sauv Blanc for the next screening.

Not normally. Just drinking.
Since you're in Western Australia, I would go with one of the fabulous Sauvignon Blanc Semillon blends the region is famous for. Perfect for outdoor sipping. Let us know how it goes!
There are some beauties, that's for sure. Favourite find so far is Upper Reach's offering.
That's one I haven't tasted. I'll keep an eye out for it. Have you tasted the Watershed Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon? Very good. They also make a fantastic Shiraz I've tweeted about. Wish I was there with you!

Thanks,

Vinho Verde (Portugal) is great for outdoor and summer drinking.
I haven't seen that here, but I agree. The Swan does lots of Verdelho, which I think is similar. It's also Portuguese at any rate.
