Travel Blog Exchange

To start things off I thought it would a good to introduce myself. I'm an American living in Rome and run a photoblog about that city. I've found it's a great way to capture the city the way I see it, instead of the standard postcard view. I shoot with a Canon Rebel XTi, normally in jpg format and try to use photoshop as little as possible except to size and make sure the images appear on a computer screen color wise as I shoot them.

I'm attaching one of my favorite recent photos, feel free to do the same!

Hi,
I'm 68 year old blogger, former computer programmer and (more or less) intrepid traveler/photographer/blogger. Use a 3 year old Panasonic DMC-FZ18 and yes, I could have afforded a DSLR. I deliberately chose an 18x zoom, sealed and complete camera for the web. I don't sell 10x14 prints at the local craft fair nor am I a pro photographer earning my living doing this.

We've traveled to Africa (Cape Town to Arusha, Tanzania over 7 weeks late last year), lived for 2 months in Cuenca, Ecuador and before that traveled to Peru and New Zealand. We like to travel a bit rough and ready (=cheap) and a bit of discomfort is no big deal. Here's a shot of Dead Vlei in Namibia from October, 2009.

I'm Naomi, 23 and currently blogging about random adventures around the world over at Anywhere But Home :) At the moment I'm focusing on Europe (and trying to resist the urge to just post about malta endlessly) but I'm moving to Asia in a little more than a month, so that's going to change things up! I also have about a million North Africa photos and adventures to share...
The majority of my photos were taken with a little Kodak Easyshare Z760, but I upgraded to a Canon XSI about six months ago. For a while I was pretty exclusively using the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 I with it but I'm using the kit lens a bit more now :)
Hey everyone!

I'm Daniel. A traveler with his faithful cameras (Canon 50D and Canon 400D backup) currently settling in Chiang Mai temporarily after 11months travel.
I keep a photoblog where I post daily (when I can) a new photo about the many countries I visited or about foreign culture.
I intend to become a freelance travel photographer hopefully.

Glad to be able to share this passion with everyone!
Cheers!

For stills I carry a Nikon D200 with a 18-200VR, but I also have the 70-200VR and 17-55 heavy Nikon f2.8 glass. When I don't want to weighed down I grab my Canon G11. I use Paint Shop Pro on my PC.

Been trying to share my photos with my photoblog: http://www.elaljanelasola.com/. A domain I just bought last months. I am hoping to meet new friends/mentors/travel and photo bloggers in this group. Cheers!

Hi my names David your stuff is really exciting - here is me, in a nutshell http://thatnudeguy.blogspot.com.au/

Hey all! I'm a newbie travel blogger, and my site is called That Time In. Although not a pure photoblog, one of my features is "Five Photos From...", which I'm doing after every few posts. So far I've covered Nice, Las Fallas in Spain and Singapore. Obviously I use as many photos as I can throughout my regular blog posts too. Would love it if you could check out my site, it's much appreciated.

As far as cameras go I've so far only been using a FujiFilm Finepix, but looking forward to upgrading this Christmas and pushing my skills further. And most definitely looking forward to getting some new travel snaps too!

Hope you can check me out at That Time In. Many thanks!

I'm something in between a travel blogger and photoblogger.

I blog at Cosmic Smudge and post on Flickr

I live and work in Washington, D.C. but I try to get out of town at least one weekend a month and am still trying to find that perfect combination of cameras, lenses and gear to take on my trips.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's work.

Joe
