Simple start to podcasting

I'm trying to round up some simple podcasting starting guides. Here's the beginning of a series I prepared for the WorldNomad's Travel Podcast Scholarship 2009.

Scripting and interviewing
Equipment for travel
Editing and post-production

Hey everyone, I'm starting a podcast and need some input on selling ad space and marketing. How do you bundle ad packages together? What are the going rates?

Hi fellow travelers, Reviving my audio passion with a new show on the Womens Radio Network and look forward to re-purposing as blog podcasts. Will stay in touch to learn more. Thanks.

Hey guys. Would anyone be willing to help us connect the dots? We are trying to connect S3 to Wordpress to iTunes. We thought we had it figured out, but upon loading the episodes, we realized we didn't. It's for a video podcast. We think we have all the pieces but can't solve the puzzle to make it all fit together. Send me a note if you can help. We would really appreciate it. Jeff@careerbreaksecrets.com

Oh schedules, I don't know why I did not think of that.

Adam, I'm with Chris. Go with someone you know the conversation will come naturally, and also consider how your schedules will match up... your podcast won't hold up if you can't coordinate recording times.

BTW - the link to your site isn't working.

Adam, I would recommend you look among your friends and acquaintances for someone you simply have a great time talking to who has an interest in travel

"This Week In Travel" uses a squarespace site for the blog and libsyn for serving the podcast files

Does anyone have any recommendations for vendors or providers for podcast? I want to launch my podcast and want it on my website but don't know who to use. I like the way "This Week In Travel" podcast looks. Please help.

Nice to see this group on TBEX — I'm v.new to podcasting, still getting used to the sound of my own voice and deciding the way I'd like to go with it. However, I'm loving the learning experience and looking forward to interacting with you all on the medium...
