Regarding Tara's question, here's the response j got from Tbex11 on Twitter to earlier this week when I asked about the Fri party (and getting in):
@tbex11 Thx. 1 more ?: how do we get into 8pm Kickoff Party Fri if reg doesn't happen till 8:30am Sat...? Thx.
@desigurrl Invites are going out later today. You will have to rsvp to get in.
@desigurrl we've provided them with a list of registered attendees, and only those will be going to the kickoff party. Fear not.

I asked that same question earlier this week on Twitter, and here's the response I got from @tbex11:

@desigurrl Doors will open around 8:30 am. signs will point the way at the convention center. We'll give specifics as they arise.

I've heard there are 500-600 people registered, so I'm planning to arrive early since I think they'll likely be a long line (and a lot of people to be processed before the first session at 9).

Steven, I asked the same on Twitter, and heard that we check in on Saturday morning just before the conference. Assume that means anyone attending Friday night's party should just show up and trust we're on a list... (Of course, anyone with more official knowledge should feel free to correct me!)
