Permalink Reply by Elisabeth Lepine on March 10, 2011 at 8:18pm I see that this is a crazy old post, but thought I would respond anyway.
Yes, I incorporate global lesson plans into my curriculum. That's my job. I am a travel teacher for a 7yr. old whose parents are fashion photographers and I write travel curriculum for Blue School (a NYC private school). Cultural awareness and global citizenship is often overlooked in current curriculum, but can be easily woven into all content areas.
I am currently writing a book about the educational value of travel. I have 2 chapters that discuss cultural connectiveness and global citizenship (Ch. 8 Exploration of Cultural and Social Anthropologies and Ch. 9 Exploration of Human Values and Global Citizenship).
