This group seems to have died a little, but for what it's worth I would like to open the door to anyone seeking SEO advice. I have been in the industry for a little over 2 years now and am happy to help anyone seeking advice. Feel free to add me as a friend and PM me.

I try to make my posts SEO, use the alt reference in tags etc etc. But from what I am reading you need to have the initial traffic for it to matter. All the traffic generator stuff I find either costs money, requires you to surf a bunch of sites or makes you add crap to your site. I want to keep my focus on travel writing not website management. I got a tweet for a site that guarantees 1 million hits in 30 days (probably exaggerated). I gave it a shot. I have no idea if it works or not because I just started it. I gave it a try because it only took a minute to do, was free, did not have to add anything to my site and it seems like it is a one time deal. Maybe it is worth checking out. http://tiny.cc/0rtxh

Question for the group. Does anyone have any good info on the differences between how Google and Bing rate site for SEO? For some of my keywords I rank way better on Bing than on Google. Something I´m doing Bing apparently loves and Google not so much. Any good sources that can help lay out the basics? Thanks.

Hi - my blog is a month old and is ranking very well in Google already. I use almost no key words in my content. Instead, I type them into my All in One SEO Pack, alt tags, etc. This is apparently working very well. Does anyone focus their key words in places other than content?

Content is king. If you provide information that people find useful, it'll naturally and organically gain traffic over time.

Pagerank and SEO are two totally different things. Pagerank = number and quality of links. SEO = rank high in google search results.

I find it strange how some people who run websites say there clueless about SEO yet they have good page ranks and have good SEO placement, how does that work? and how important is keyword density through your site in comparison to just getting your links out there? Cheers guys!
