It's funny, but most of the readers of my blog are from outside the UK; I get very few British hits. However I do get a *lot* of my traffic from other people's blog rolls - forming a small community with mutual links would undoubtedly bring some benefit. I also get traffic from Twitter, which is another way to cross-promote interesting articles.
Around 25% of visitors to the Europe a la Carte blog are from the UK, 33% from US and the rest from all over the world.
Blog rolls are a good idea but I get most of my traffic from natural searches where reader come to a post about the specific topic in which they are interested.
I'm working on a travel content aggregation site which will feature a mix of RSS feeds and manually selected content in order to showcase the best travel content from around the globe,
A few of us travel bloggers are trying to organise a travel bloggers tweetup on Saturday, 28 August; location tbc. Please visit the event's twtvite page (link above) for more details, updates, and RSVP.
Looking forward to seeing you all - this meeting has truly been long overdue!
