Hi all, does anyone know of a WordPress plugin that will give you a list of "share" buttons on your blog? (I've found plugins that will give you one or two share buttons, but none with a comprehensive list)

Thanks,

Glen

Hi if any one needs any help with their wordpress blogs, throw me a message. I know a thing or two about wordpress I designed and developed this wordpress theme myself: Where Now?

Are you asking me my BBB rating/ i don't know that I have one. The only contact I've had with them in close to 17 years and many hundreds of clients around the world was two complaints, both of them resolved. Some of my clients have been with me for more than 16 years.

In addition to being an occasional travel writer, I own one of the oldest web site building and hosting companies in the USA. Our Fully Managed Hosting Service installs the newest WordPress and the Theme of your choice, free of charge.

Details, see: http://buildinghosting.com/hosting-plans/fully-managed-hosting/

Wordpress.com is fine for a quick evaluation. If afterwards blogging still seems interesting you have to go with Wordpress.org. It performs much better regarding search engine traffic and offers numerous extension options. I compiled a starting instruction at http://e-byz.ch/tools/wordpress-blog-anleitung-hostpoint-einrichten-blogger-einsteiger (unfortunately only in German so far). Hostpoint.ch is a good Swiss provider with Wordpress hosting. In the U.S. I like Hostgator.com. That's where I host my Wordpress travel blog http://Travelmemo.com

A standalone Wordpress setup is the only way for serious bloggers. Wordpress.com is fine to start with if you're unsure about blogging. Once you know you're hooked and want to create a great site with community, possible monetization, etc then Wordpress.org is the way forward.

I also run a twitter account offering Wordpress support and advice. Follow @gowordpress

I use wordpress.org and wouldn't have it any other way.

As far as wordpress themes go, I'm a fan of "Glossy Stylo 1.0.4 by aliwkbg"
It has a pretty nice look, and by changing the background (easy), it changes the whole colour scheme pretty much since it uses transparency quite a bit.

An example where the only change is the background, ads and some plugins.

For your first Wordpress blog i'd recommend using a web host that makes the installation process easy. They can usually sort out your domain needs too. Check out Bluehost they have easy install support for Wordpress. I've used them in the past with no problems. Host Rocket are pretty good too.

I would highly recommend developing and testing your website on your computer before uploading. This allows you to make changes and test they work before your visitors see it. It means your site will run more smoothly and cause less headaches! There's full details on how to do this and lots of reviews of plugins, wordpress customisation, etc in this ebook.

If you need any more help just let me know. Also worth checking out my Wordpress support posts for more Wordpress tips.
