Wanna visit the Philippine's all-in-one tourist destination? Here you can savor nature at its best.
I've written a blog on the debate about wordpress.com or wordpress.org
Worth noting you can add a domain to a wordpress.com setup so you can make it work just like a .org setup. The difference is you're very limited in what you can add to a wordpress.com and that will become an issue sooner or later.
I've got a wordpress travel blog: http://holidaysforfamily.com
I'm looking for a good Table of Contents plugin to organize my categories and tags.
Thanks for any assistance!
found a good article on the "best" plugins for wordpress in 2011: http://www.sitesketch101.com/15-incredible-wordpress-plugins-you-need I found it helpful, so thought i'd share :)
Matt Mullenweg, mastermind behind Wordpress, disclosed some thoughts regarding Wordpress' future and the differences between WP/org and WP/com. They are said to be like Ying and Yang.
I compiled a summary on my ebusiness blog E-Byz.ch.
Another reason for imoroved SEO for WP/org vs WP/com is that many themes that can be installed only on WP/org are specifically designed for SEo or have a uiltin SEO.
A good example of that is the free Atahualpa theme.
Wordpress.org will perform nicely in search engine result lists, Wordpress.com is nowhere near that level. It's indeed good to play around and get a first impression of Wordpress, but then you move to a self-hosted Wordpress.org instance.
I moved my travel blog's domain TravelMemo.com to Hostgator.com just recently. I'm pretty happy with their services so far. Wordpress is running smoothly, the traffic is picking up nicely.
On my travel blog TravelMemo.com I use Sexy Bookmarks. It's highly configurable and the developers reply quickly to questions. It has a fancy look and customizable logos and icon animation.
On my e-business blog E-Byz.ch I use AddToAny. It's also good, albeit visually a bit less fancy which obviously is just fine for a business related blog.
One of the early WP plugins was written by my son Peter Harkins. Because he has moved on to other projects, he has given over the updating to another good programmer. It may be the most popular plugin in terms of how many times it appears on screen. It can display up to 99 links but most people use between 5 and 10.
