If you arrive early, meaning about 15 minutes to 6am, you have the Taj Mahal almost to your self for about 15 minutes, before the huge crowds pour in. I think that this quiet time replicates the intimate moments of the Shah Jehan, alone in the bosom of his masterpiece.
