Sunrise

It is only 10 minutes after sunrise. The disk has just cleared the horizon to my back, The sun is so low that shadow of an outlying building more than 50 meters to the rear is cast on the lower part of the main structure. As a result, the stark white of the marble walls is bathed in a buttery yellow. You can't see it in this shot, but the tens of thousands of precious stones, red, green, etc., set carefully into the surface, are twinkling as you walk through their reflection.
