- All the countries we're traveling through on our round-the-world journey with a focus on people, food, and markets. The first part of the trip included eighteen months traveling across Asia through the Caucasus, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, China and South Asia. Then, a few months relaxing in Central Europe and the Baltics.
We're about to embark on the Central and South America leg of our journey, so stay tuned for more stories and photo galleries about markets, food, and life for ordinary people.

I just recently wrote an article about that myself. My wife and I live here in Xinjiang and just visited there last year so a lot of your pictures and stories ring true.
