Brooke Allen's Page

I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. I ventured off to an equally exciting city in North Carolina for college. Since then, I’ve lived in Germany, Russia, and Lithuania. I’m now back where I started (Iowa), but I’m always planning my next move. I enjoy sports, fashion/design, and travel, amongst other things.

I started my blog in May of 2009 while I was living in Kaunas, Lithuania with my then-fiancé (long story, no hard feelings). I needed a way to escape from the craziness of the whole situation and document the all-too frequent moments that had me scratching my head in disbelief. I also wanted a place to archive the experiences and sights that changed the way I viewed the world and myself. While I was not new to living abroad, that year in Lithuania enlightened me in ways I never fathomed. I’ve always had a love of travel, but now, I need to travel. I absolutely crave new environments and meeting new people. It makes me feel alive.
