Even experienced travelers make mistakes that leave them kicking themselves as they reflect on what they did wrong. But as more mature individuals they do have more life experience to get themselves out of trouble before things get too sticky.

Traveling in Northern China
The classic – stereotypical, even – places to see in northern China include the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, and the Great Wall. A more recent addition is the “Bird’s Nest” – the stadium that was the heart of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the group. Hi everyone, I'm happy to be here. I'm still ramping up with this site but will be sure to post some of my travel stories and thoughts very soon. But quickly, I live in NYC, am 51, travel alone most of the time but am open to traveling with others. Have been traveling a lot to Hawaii for years now, Iceland, Europe, Canada, etc., and have my sights on Italy, Spain, South East Asia, Africa, Candian Rockies, Japan, etc.
