Yes, what you've heard is correct. The seafood from Chedabucto Bay is amazing. Lobster season begins on May 1st and we have a Chedabucto Bay Lobster Festival that runs through to the end of June with daily visits to meet the lobster boat with the chef, lobster cooking classes in the DesBarres Manor kitchen, wine pairing classes with lobster and, of course, fabulous Nova Scotia lobster suppers with the special East Coast flair that made the DesBarres Manor restaurant Nova Scotia's cuisine of the year in 2008.

Local shellfish from the Bay also includes diver scallops, oysters, shrimp and snow crab.

It's not too long until spring when you can come out and have a taste!

Thanks for the compliment, Douglas. It's hard to keep your eye on the ball with the ocean views from every fairway. Hopefully you can make it out to play a round!
