A post a day from wherever I am: mainly HOME these days!

This year I started a blog on BootsnAll, called Jill Browne from home and away.So far I've managed a post a day (that's my goal) from wherever I am at the time.Since I've been home almost the whole time, thanks to things that have nothing to do with travel and everything to do with being kind to my family, I've written a lot about my home city, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The mundane things of my part of the world might be interesting to someone else, who knows? It's certainly made me more…See More

Vietnamese noodles in big box land, Calgary

If you're shopping down near IKEA in Calgary, here's a lunch possibility.

Indy coffee in Calgary at Kawa

Kawa is one of Calgary's relatively few indy coffee shops.  Consistently gets good reviews.  Here's my take.

Indy coffee in Calgary? Yes, but you have to look for it. Try Kawa Espresso Bar.

Hi Jill,

I totally agree with the comments you made on my blog post but the basic fact is that the word "accessible" is what people with disabilities use to search for suitable hotels and facilities. Using "accessible" is just for marketing purposes and so the search engines find the page.

I don't actually ever define what is or isn't accessible, I just give as much information as I can without making it too confusing and then it's up to the individual to decide if it's suitable for their needs. See my blog post on accessible.travel "Dissemination of Hotel Facilities for People with Disabilities" for an example.

If you sign up for the RSS for the blog you'll see how I am developing the way the website displays information etc.

Cheers

Craig
