It is difficult to admit that the centre of my town, Christchurch, has disappeared into rubble. My great grandfather helped build these buildings. In ten terrible seconds our lives changed, but it's not necessarily all bad! 99.99% of New Zealand is still as beautiful as ever, but just at present sections of Christchurch have suffered.

Do you also find that the lead up to Christmas Day becomes crazy? I think that the situation in the Southern Hemisphere is far worse - not only do they have the risk of getting sunburnt, but everything happens at once. I think that Christmas is "designed" for those in Europe. How much different is it in France?
