OFF TO JAIL IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY

My latest story on my blog LIFE IN THE EXPAT LANE tells the tale of how I almost ended up in a bush prison in Uganda. This was not my intended destination since my mate and friends and I were on the way to a game park. But we were young and not too experienced in the ways of the world and well, stupid.

This set me to wondering how many travelers here on this site have found themselves… Continue

Hi Karen,

Thanks for following my blog.. That'll be $25 introductory membership and then $50/month afterwards! Just joking!! I'm not 100% sure what following means..!

I guess it means you are notified whenever the nurses slacken off my straps enough for me to write a new post!

I must say you have an unusual mix of countries under your belt.. there'll clearly a story there somewhere. Give me time and I'll work it out!

Tot ziens..

Pip

Hi Karen,

Thanks for the nice words on my blog. Yours is really nice as well and I like your lighthearted writing style/voice. I noticed you are searching for an agent for your latest book. How's it going? I'm currently working on my first book about walking a 900 mile Buddhist pilgrimage in Japan and the extremes of life in Japan (spiritual and deviant). If you don't mind me asking, has your blog helped in your search? One of the reasons (beside loving to write) that I ramped up my blog was to help create a platform for when I start my own agent search.

Cheers,
Todd

Hi Karen.

Thanks for your comment about my website. In fact, when I first designed travelwithjan, I considered my website like a book...with a front cover, forward, table of contents, etc.

I invited two friends to write an Introduction but they declined. So, I am still looking for an articulate, well-traveled person to review the site and write an Introduction.

Any recommendations?
