Well some things just weren't meant to work out... Sadly, I just had to make the tough decision to cancel having a TBEX Europe event in Prague this year.
But there is good news!
We're still working on details as to date and time, but we'll have a mini TBEX Europe half-day event during the week of…

For anyone who attended TBEX '10 in NYC this June, the memory of the "Travel Writing: Upping Your Game" panel which kicked off our Saturday morning session wouldn't be the same without Don George.Posted on July 25, 2010 at 12:30pm — 2 Comments

Thanks for following up. I just hate it when people abuse a great initiative like tbex. You may want to check out 'alden' who seems part of farebuzz. Cheers and good luck with tbex! Hope to make it to colorado although it is a long haul for me. All the best, Eric
Hi Kim,
How are you?
Could you check the activity of Farebuzz on Travel Blog Exchange? These guys are seriously spamming the blog and members. I get like 10 mails every week promoting their CRAP articles. Just read the articles, they are so poor quality. Seems like low quality material solely placed on Tbex to dump as many of their SEO keywords on a google PR 5 website as part of a SEO internet marketing campaign. This is really deteriorating the quality of TBEX and will scare away many members. Also please note that I got like 15 link building requests from them. Even after indicating not to be interested.
Thanks for looking into this and best regards,
Eric Bobek

Hi Kim,
I was wondering how many of Chris Elliott's picks from his recent "The 11 best new travel blogs of 2011" are TBEX members? I was honored to be chosen as one of the 11 and it's great to be a TBEX member. (Sorry, having trouble adding long links here)

Sorry I couldn't make it to Vancouver this year but I was in India on a FAM trip, hope to see you at the next one.
Cheers,
Ralph

Thank you for creating such a great source for travel writers!
Just found out about your site from Randall Shirley who will be attending the conference. I cover pretty much everything and everywhere and looking forward to more connections with fellow writer/travelers. Thanks for setting this up.

Do you know other websites that could impress me like this? I'm interested in travel + tech. I just started a blog too!
Thanks for the recording advise! I think what we need to do is a few 'practice' movies just to get comfortable in front of the camera and to see what it looks like when you go to edit it. I find that when I'm shooting it seems like I have everything I will need until later on when editing I want to kick myself because some obvious and critical thing is missing :) I guess practice makes perfect.
See you at Canada-e-Connect
a bientôt
Claude
