I'm using the NextGEN plugin on artist-at-large.com . It's fairly versatile. Although it takes some getting used to, I can't image not having its functionality.

artist-at-large.com is about art, culture and travel. Good for both the trip researcher and armchair traveler, you will find travel stories, travel information, quirky survey questions, photos of the day, and listings for open studios, film festivals, and events in each region on the site. The stories and information presented on the site are written in a way that are meant to be valuable over a long period of time, like an art or travel magazine or guidebook that you keep by your desk and flip through when you need information, or just want to daydream. The site also fosters online art education and promotes artists from around the world.
This site is own and managed by Kimberly Kradel and has been in production since September 2000.
Submissions are accepted, but there is no pay. We also accept submissions from guest writers for the regional blogs. See each region for submission details. Will consider trade/barter of stories for guest blogging.

- And, oh, Kimba thanks for letting me know you like my blog and writing. I like the idea of doing guest posts. The San Sepolcro piece appeared on Alexandra's site in slightly different form, which was gratifying in that it found a new audience. Meanwhile, as a formerly traditional mono-media print journalist I also need to work on building this blog somehow and learning the ropes.
