New Post: Musicians Below New York
One of the many things I love about New York City is the range of amazing musicians and singers who eke out a living performing across the city’s subway network. Actually, ‘eke out’ may be the…
New Post: Make Your Dream a Reality
In my first post for 2012, I mentioned that many people have found ways to indulge their love of travel, often for extended periods of time, and that if you are prepared to make the commitment and sacrifice, you…
New Blog Post: Zuccotti Park, New York City
On both my trips to New York City in 2008 and 2010, I have at various times found myself wandering through Zuccotti Park. Strictly speaking, it is more of a plaza than a traditional park, and in fact it…

Just to let you know we had a fab time in Italy staying in places we found using eurocheapo which all turned out to be exactly as had been described, easy to find using the given instructions (even in Venice as 1st timers, at a very bleary eyed 1am, after a mad 36 hour snow delayed trip up from Cambodia via Bangkok, Zurich- the delayed diversion- to Milan and a mad dash to catch a train to finally arrive in Venice in one piece packs all accounted for and intact albeit 11 hours later than planned) and in great locations for getting around and exploring. We were relieved to find public transport in all its forms so easy to negotiate. Thanks again for all the hints and tips that helped to make our trip so enjoyable we will definately be back - to Italy and to the site...we have the rest of Europe to explore after all!
