hi tanya, yes i did enjoy siem reap very much... not only the temples, but their whole culture. it was an insight to one of the poorer countries in south east asia and i was touched by the ppl's humility.

Thanks for the friend request. Did you like Siem Reap? The temples make for some pretty amazing photos especially once the sun begins to set.
In answer to your question we tend to get contracts that are 2+1's, ie 2 years with an option to extend for another, which means when time gets close to the 2 year mark J (my partner) begins looking for another contract in a different country. The longest we have been in a country was 2 1/2 yrs in Samoa and the shortest was a relieving position in the Solomon Islands for 6 mths. We have been in Phnom Penh for 18 mths. I am an adult third culture kid and am happier 'wandering' although I love NZ (my 'home' country). Almost everytime I visit a new place I find myself thinking 'I could live here'. Travel is definately addictive!
