Grazie! Si', mi piace Orvieto! Absolutely loved every minute we were there and wished we could have stayed longer. I've also spent time in Spoleto, Assisi, and Todi. Umbria is wonderful! I can't wait to come back. Ciao

- Italy. I'm an independent blogger but am also a relatively new tour guide for La Contadina Travel and Tours. I've been to Italy three times and speak Italian fairly well (French, too). Thus far, I have led one tour, and would only lead one to two tours (5 to 6 guests) per year, so this is my not my main "occupation." I am retired and have to be here to take care of my family and my huge garden! This year I will focus on studying wine and trying my hand at travel writing and travel/tour consulting while still hoping to lead one tour this spring (May 2010). I have also started doing product testing and reviews.

How soon is too soon to start attending conferences and events?
I have a 2 month old travel blog that I have been working very hard to establish. What I am trying to figure out is how soon is too soon to start attending travel events and conferences?Will it be a boost to my blog at this point, or will it be a relative waste of time?
