Visiting the snow monkeys in Japan

One of the highlights of my one-month trip to Japan so far has been a visit to the snow monkeys near Nagano. Do you like puffins? Visit Drangey Island in the north of Iceland

If ever there was a remote location, this is it: a blob of tuff-stone volcanic rock in a fjord in north Iceland, accessible only by fishing boat in the summer months. Glorious North Iceland!

Who would have thought that an urban cat such as I would love the "nothingness" of Iceland so much? But I did and thoroughly enjoyed an all too short seven days there.
