As I am gearing up for yet another great road trip year in USA, I've had to look back to see where I might wanna go this year.
In 2011 I added my 38th state to the list of US states that I have spent the night in. The goal is all 50 (no deadline set). The 38 states is 76% of all the states.
Many of the states I have spent more than one night in. Texas is the state I have spent the most nights in (approx. 20).
How many states have you spent the night in?
If you need to tick of the states on a map, you can do it here:http://douweosinga.com/projects/visited?region=usa
I am not comitted to only visiting new states and yet another trip to Texas during easter, is very tempting (just love it down around Big Bend and Austin).
Whereever I end up going during easter, I will be back in Colorado for the TBEX12 in June. I did a 3 week road trip of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska in 2008. Loved it there and I found my all time favorite town, Durango, CO (maybe a tie with Jackson, WY).
Looking forward to coming back to Colorado and Denver soon. Will also be a good research trip for a (hopefully) combined new years (Las Vegas) and skiing (Aspen) trip at the end of the year.

You are slightly ahead of me right now -I have managed 32 States so far with New Hampshire been the one I have slept in the most.
I did a fab road trip around Wyoming and Utah in 2010 so I can see why you want to do that again. Enjoy!
