2) Meeting Mickey Mouse.
No trip to Disney World would be complete without meeting this popular mascot. I was definitely a little giddy when we tracked Mickey down at Hollywood Studios. Note to the ladies - he's a charmer, I got a big hug and a hand kiss!
3) Being recruited to marshal Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom.
I was a little hesitant about this, but who can say no to an invitation to man the very first float in a Disney parade? It's probably a once and a lifetime opportunity. We did our best to smile and wave as much as possible, and had lots of Disney cast members (staff) encouraging us along the way. From the number of cameras along the parade route, I'm guessing we will be part of hundreds of families' Animal Kingdom photo/video record. Super.... haha
A big thanks to the folks at Disney for the complimentary photos!
4) Seeing the taping of ABC's Christmas Day Parade broadcast.
I've watched the Disney World Christmas Day Parade every year for as long as I can remember, and have always wanted to go to Disney World for Christmas to see it in person. It turns out that the parade is actually filmed around Thanksgiving each year. The taping began on the last day of our stay!

5) Conquering scary rides.
I didn't wimp out, not even once. Roller coasters, towers of terror, and spin til' you puke tea cups, I did them all. Yeah, I'm pretty tough.
