====================
The 2009 TBEX event in Chicago was fantastic. We had bloggers large and small (traffic-wise, I mean) fly in from around the world to meet one another, and even groups of road-trippers like Pam, Peter and Kelly who made a trip all the way from Seattle.
Since the event, I've been sorting through all the results of the big survey the TBEX community took after our big event in July and the results are in...
We're headed to NYC for TBEX '10!
The feedback we got from your numerous blog posts, tweets, and survey answers following the event was really great. Everyone who attended seemed to enjoy the panels and networking. Some important tidbits the feedback taught us were also that you want:
Your wish is our command... TBEX '10 will be even better than the '09 meeting and we'll have all sorts of fun extra-curriculars planned as well. An awesome organizing committee (listed below) has been assembled, and this promises to be a really meaningful, useful opportunity to learn and network.
The event will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 26th (doors open at 9 am). Then we'll break into a day of workshops with experts covering in-depth topics like Monetizing, SEO for Travel, Working w/PR, Video/Podcasting, Travel Photography, & Travel Writing Tips. On Sunday, we'll have more great workshops, then wrap up with a spectacular keynote speaker, after a fun networking lunch.
All the great things about the 2009 event will remain awesome. We'll have a fantastic lineup of speakers, plenty of time to chit chat, good food, and a great location (with tons more space and a/c...). And swag...yes there will be lots of great swag, just like last year. We'll also make sure there's plenty of wifi and a dedicated line just for the livestream, so it doesn't get booted offline this time... All the event details and an event registration form is below.

Nominal Fee & Limited Spots
There will be a nominal fee to help us cover the cost of this two-day travel fest in an expensive city, and our fabulous sponsors are the ones helping us keep the cost so very low.
Fee includes: two conference days, some breakfasts, some lunch, and all the networking and learning you can handle. The City of New York will give a NYC CityPass to all blogger attendees, which will get you into 6 major attractions around the city. Pretty sweet deal!
Blogger attendees can register for $80 USD, and PR professionals/travel industry attendees for $125 USD.
This year we limited the number of spots open to public relations reps and travel industry professionals, so that the bloggers can make more meaningful connections with one another, and with the pros. There will be fifty spots open, and they'll cost more than blogger registrations. ($80 early bird / $125 regular registration.) [SOLD OUT]
