TBEX Europe: Hotel Recommendations in Copenhagen

For those that are counting down (we know we are), TBEX Europe is only a month away. That's right: one month to book flights, hotel rooms, register for the event (you haven't forgotten, have you?)... To make your lives a little easier, TBEX's very own Kim Mance went to Copenhagen last week to check out hotels and venues. Here's what she found:

Avenue Hotel: This centrally-located hotel is a great combination of cozy and classic Danish design. The lobby is full of overstuffed chairs, conducive to lively conversations, conveniently located near the hotel bar. The rooms are understated but comfortable, with many overlooking the courtyard.

Rooms start at $178 US / 128 Euro / 112 pounds (free Wifi)

Axel Hotel: Housed in an historic chain of three buildings, each unique room features key furniture pieces designed by the owners and produced in Bali. Axel is committed to sustainability: key cards are made of wood; textiles are produced in-house and an organic cafe serves healthy--yet delicious--treats. The basement houses an enormous candle-lit stone hot-tub.

Rooms start at $ 167 US / 120 Euro / 105 pounds (free Wifi)

Wakeup Copenhagen: Vibrantly youthful, one year old Wake-up Copenhagen has reasonable prices with fantastic city views. Centrally located, hipsters and the budget-conscious will enjoy the light-filled, modern rooms.

Rooms start at $ 124 US / 89 Euro / 78 pounds (free Wifi)

Tivoli Hotel: This newly opened hotel’s rooms evoke the lightheartedness of the legendary Tivoli Gardens from which it takes its name. With a sleek, Danish feel, Tivoli houses several restaurants as well as a rooftop lounge, complete with swings overlooking the city. It is very family friendly, with a kids’ playroom and luxurious pools for families and guests alike.

Rooms start at $ 190 US / 136 Euro / 119 pounds (free Wifi)

Hotel Copenhagen Island: Situated on Copenhagen’s idyllic harbor front, Copenhagen Island takes advantage of its location: There are no shortage of views. Its interior is as sleek as Denmark gets. The comfortable surroundings include a well-equipped fitness center looking over the waterfront, while the business center is the perfect office for business travelers.

Rooms start at $ 148 US / 106 Euro / 93 pounds (free Wifi)

Nimb: This boutique hotel’s rear facade looks upon the historic and magical Tivoli
Gardens. Located directly across from the train station, this central
hotel’s rooms go beyond intimate: With wood-burning fireplaces in each
room, a comforting atmosphere isn’t hard to achieve.

Rooms start at $837 US / 605 Euro / 529 pounds (free Wifi)

Though they're not pictured (but as inviting and fabulous as those above), here are Kim's other recommendations below:

Hotel Fox
Scandic Front
Kong Arthur
Radisson Blu Royal
Radisson Blu Scandinavia

And of course, don't forget to check out our wonderful speakers and new workshop format. For venue information, check out Courtney's post here.

All of the hotels are within 1-2 km of the venue, but if you are looking for the absolute closest, check out the Radisson Blu Royal It is within walking distance of the Cirkus.
