Here are some quick tips on how to potentially save yourself some time, money, and frustration, before you leave on your next vacation.
1. If you plan on traveling out of the United States and you don’t have a passport already, start working on it as soon as possible. The most time consuming part will be putting the application in at the post office as the appointments seem to be taken well in advance. If your post office doesn’t accept appointments, consider getting there at least two hours before opening. I’m not sure how it is in other large cities but here in San Antonio, people start lining up to get their passport applications in well before the office opens. *Time & Frustration Saver--Consider driving to a smaller town or city nearby to submit your application. Most of the time their post offices have no lines or waiting period at all to submit your paperwork. Just make sure you call them before you go to make sure their branches accept the applications.
