Well, howdy, travelers!
I'm Justin Jones, of JustinWasHere.com and Editor for the new travel zine, www.WorldTravelBuzz. We are launching a new section at World Travel Buzz, with interviews of great / interesting travelers and travel writers, and I thought I'd reach out to the TBEX community to see if anyone is interested in being a Featured Travel Buzz Traveler.
We'll include a photo or two and a link to your website / blog / twitter / etc. This is a great chance to showcase your travel smarts, share your story, and get the word out about your website.
How does it work? Easy, amigos!
Here are a bunch of questions -- feel free to answer the ones you want, add other questions, or whatever, and I'll format it, and post it along with some pics of you (please include photos, or links to photos online that I can use) and I'll make sure to add a link or two to your website! Cool? Cool.
And don't reply here - please send your responses to Justin@WorldTravelBuzz.com. Thanks!
Intro :
I’m going to be introducing you in the interview, so if you could provide a couple sentences of general info, that would be great. Here is where you can paste your bio, and give me a taste of how you’d like to be represented in the intro. Thanks!
Questions:
What is the focus / goal of your website?
What was your first experience with traveling? Was this when you’d say you Became a Traveler? Or did you really discover your passion for travel later on?
Can you explain your passion for travel? What do you love about it? What do you get from it?
What's your travel style? party? Culture? Volunteering? Connecting with the locals? a little of everything? what's the balance?
Do you prefer to travel alone or with a friend, group of friends, partner? How does your travel style affect what you get out of your journey?
If you could travel with any 3 people (real, fictional alive, or dead) who would they be and where would you go?
Many people who don’t travel always think they can’t afford it. what do you have to say to that?
If you weren’t a traveler, how would your life be different? i.e. what would you be doing if you weren’t always on the road? (Or, what are you doing now that you aren't on the road?)
What was the most grueling adventure? (epic hike with low supplies, long train ride in India with no toilets, etc.)
What's your best travel tip?
One of my favorite parts of travel is connecting with the people I meet along the way, both locals and other travelers. Can you tell us about one of your most cherished travel connections?
What advice would you give to first-time travelers?
What advice would you give to struggling travel writers / photographers?
I know that’s a lot of questions, so take your time and get back to me when you can!
Cheers!
