TEDxPhnomPenh - From Little Things, Big Things Grow

In Feb 2011, I was honoured to be invited to speak at TEDx Phnom Penh.

I've always been a massive fan of TED conferences so this was a bit of chance to realise a dream to speak at such an event.

TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) is a small nonprofit devoted to 'Ideas Worth Spreading'. Over the years it has grown to be recognised as one of the leading forums for enabling international citizens to share their big ideas.

They have two big conferences every year and a number of satellite events around the world. So I was in equal parts greatly honoured and nervous as hell !

The thing is though, we do have a great idea worth spreading, The Footprints Network (footprintsnetwork.org), an alliance of e-commerce business dedicated to funding community development projects around the world.

This was a chance to share its beginnings, why we chose to create this network and the importance of understanding why projects like this are successful.
