We're heading out of the Palm Springs area and making our way to Joshua Tree National Park.
I look out the car window and see a clear blue sky and the blazing sun beating down on the gently swaying palm trees. Ah, Southern California.
Just an hour prior, we were regrouping. A client threw a lofty goal our way, so we were in a coffee shop frantically multi-tasking and busting out a bunch of work. After a focused couple of hours, it was… Continue

I'm sure I won't be the only one writing a wrap-up post from the travel blogger conference held in Vancouver this past weekend. But, regardless if this is the first or fifteenth post on this topic you've seen, I'm going to write it anyway to share with you what I learned at TBEX 2011.
No, I didn't learn all the… Continue

While the 12 Days of TBEX have been mostly random in order, I saved the best and most important for last.
Day 12 – The Story of tbexB
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I attended my first travel blogger’s conference: TBEX ’10. I went to New York without a ticket to TBEX (true story), without a travel blog, and without any idea of how this amazing community would inspire me.
When I showed up in… Continue

Few life decisions are cut and dry, black and white, good vs. bad. Leaving Los Angeles was a good move for me personally and professionally, but it came at the cost of not being able to hang out with some awesome people as often as I’d like to.
So honors for The 12 Days of TBEX – Day 6 go to a group of those very people: the creative, talented and all around badass travelers of the LA Consortium of Online Travel:

One of the things I loved most about TBEX ’10 was the abundance of attractive women. But more than that, they were attractive women who love traveling. Women and travel are high on the list of my addictions, so it was a little like being an alcoholic and waking up in a rehab sponsored by Ketel One.
And two of the hottest, most charming and outright fun girls I’ve met from TBEX are the Abbies. So honors for the 12 Days of TBEX – Day 3 go to:
