It's a good question. There has been talk about whether this community of like minds (not the TBEX community per se but the community at large) or an actual profession or an emerging trend that will someday become an industry.
I know that I personally would like to know. As a marketing professional new to the industry, I not only deal with travel and public relations professionals, but community managers, hospitality professionals, marketing reps and lots more. Where does the… Continue

My love affair with travel began pretty early on. As a five year old traveling between my mother (who married an Air Force captain) and my dad (who stayed in sunny California, where I was born), I navigated airports and traveled treacherous Canadian roads to get to the nearest airport that offered non-stop flights to Sacramento. Okay, well it's not ALL about the SHWAG or the parties or even the networking, but those are all side benefits to being a part of the TBEX '10 extravaganza! When Kim Mance
and I started working on TravelBlogExchange.com we hoped that a conference like the one many of you are about to attend would be in the plans, but we never dreamed it would happen so soon. But for every perk there for a travel blogger, there is a great company… Continue

Got a crummy seat mate? Here are some great ways to deal with snorers, droolers, talkers and otherwise creepy folks:
~ “Can I move to the back/front/other side? The fumes over here from the gas/food/lavatory are making me feel reallllllly queasy.”
~Pour water, gum, food on the seat and then say: “Oh man! Look, this seat is gross. Can I please move?” Take care that there are in fact other seats on the plane before tossing ginger ale on your seat, however. Remember,… Continue

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, two 20-somethings had an idea to write a guidebook to Paris. One was an experienced world traveler, the other a military kid itching to get out and see the world. Together, they came up with The Girl's Guide to Paris. A catty, funny, completely practical guide to hanging out in the City of Lights with your best girlfriend or solo.
Because I haven't been too many cool places without the editor in chief of Galavanting, I thought I would start off… Continue
